They are truly one of a kind. All of these cymbals are made from high quality B20 alloy, are re-lathed, original logo is removed, and price drastically reduced. The SR2 cymbals start out as one of Sabian’s cast cymbal lines that were shortly used by endorsed artists, displayed at trade shows, or being restocked for any number of other reasons. After re-lathing and a quality check, they stamp the SR2 logo on the cymbal. The only marked differences are the diameter and weight (thin, medium, and heavy). Guide to selecting a cymbal: Thin cymbals have a deeper overall tone, are more responsive and are generally more washy. Medium cymbals have a mix of the lighter cymbals’ responsiveness, with the projection of thicker cymbals Heavy cymbals typically have more resonance, volume, and a higher tone. 8-12 inch cymbals are designated as spash cymbals. 13-15 inch cymbals are mostly hi-hat cymbals, with 14 inches being standard. 15-20 inch cymbals are primarily crash cymbals, but 20″ crashes are rare. 19-22 inch cymbals are typically ride cymbals. The cymbal in the photo is the cymbal you will receive.
